JOB DESCRIPTION: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the operations of our Accounts Receivable department as well as other accounting related tasks. This includes facilitating and managing relationships with our clients and vendors to accurately maintain and collect account balances within the specified terms of the contract or agreement. This role will require strong computer skills due to heavy utilization of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for financial records and reporting.
JOB DUTIES:
· Generating and sending invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
· Maintaining and reporting records of all invoices, deposits, correspondence, and exemption certificates in Sage Intacct and Avalara.
· Ensuring all activities comply with company and tax policies are compliant and executed accordingly.
· Creating journal entries and payment records to keep cash management up to date.
· Preparing reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and other relevant financial information.
· Assisting with data extraction for tax filings.
· Reviewing financial statements and account books for accuracy and legal compliance.
· Assisting with monthly close, reconciliations, and generating reports.QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
· Basic knowledge of GAAP principles.
· Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
· Previous work experience in accounting or business finance.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Sage Intacct a plus.
· Detail-oriented with emphasis on ensuring full compliance on all tasks.
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
