Controller

Our client seeks an energetic Controller who enjoys using their financial expertise to effectively oversee all aspects of their dealership's financial operations. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who is motivated, detailed and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Oversee and mentor accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial data (AP, AR, payroll, etc.).
• Maintain general ledger ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Prepare financial reports, assist in budget forecasting, and recommend areas for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and dealership regulations.

Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in the automotive dealership industry or similar.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting functions.
• Proficiency with accounting software including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Organized and deadline-driven with attention to detail.
