Responsibilities of the Brazing Operator

• Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to ensure accurate execution.
• Set up the work area each day following provided instructions.
• Ensure first piece sign-off is completed to maintain quality standards.
• Adhere to proper PPE policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces using soldering iron, gas torch, or electronic/ultrasonic equipment.
• Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to ensure a snug fit before joining.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Requirements of the Brazing Operator

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in metal fabrication or welding preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in brazing or a related field.
• Proficient in the use of various tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift and handle up to 10 lbs.
• Good hand-eye coordination to perform precise tasks.
