Role Description

The Building Systems Project Manager oversees the coordination, integration, implementation, and design of the following low voltage systems. Project management oversight of computer room build outs, security & access controls, audio visual, and building management systems.  Daily tasks include coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and team members, ensuring project timelines and costs are met. This role demands exceptional analytical and communication skills to address project issues and ensure successful project delivery and requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Integration: Coordination and integration of various building systems, including server room build outs, audio visual, security & access controls, HVAC building controls, voice, data, telecom, Wi-Fi, and property management systems. 
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring all systems are implemented effectively and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide design and technical guidance that will support various IT systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and contractors to procure and implement the latest technology solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on system performance, project progress, and budget status to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in building systems technology or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and system integration.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security, HVAC, telecom, and data systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
