Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs and medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or advanced practice providers.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and responses to care.
• Perform physical assessments and maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Coordination & Collaboration:
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery expectations.
• Clinical Standards & Safety:
• Follow all hospital and regulatory policies related to infection control, medication administration, and patient safety.
• Ensure all interventions comply with state nursing practice acts and hospital protocols.
• Identify changes in patient condition and respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
• Education & Support:
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and families.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain clinical competence.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• License & Certification:
• Current, active RN license to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Willing to travel is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and handle stressful situations.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and standard clinical software.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
