Job Discerption :

  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate project goals, safety protocols, and task assignments. Ensure each crew member understands their role, expected outcomes, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Assess the skills of each team member and assign tasks accordingly to optimize crew performance and efficiency during chemical cleaning operations.
  • Act as a mediator to resolve any interpersonal conflicts among team members promptly, maintaining a positive and focused work environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements on-site to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and streamline chemical cleaning activities.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of essential equipment, ensuring that all tools and chemicals are handled correctly to minimize waste.
  • Proactively address and troubleshoot any unexpected challenges during cleaning operations, such as equipment malfunctions or unexpected site conditions, while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Verify that all team members are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and are following correct usage protocols, enforcing strict adherence to safety policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of daily activities, including chemical usage, equipment status, and work hours. Submit these reports to the Project Manager to aid in progress tracking and cost management.
  • Regularly update and maintain an accurate inventory of chemicals, tools, and PPE, coordinating with supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment and avoid operational delays.
  • Ensure necessary permits are obtained for each project, maintaining compliance with local and federal regulations. Document all compliance checks and procedures.
  • Facilitate client site walkdowns to provide updates on project progress, address any client concerns.
  • Review project scopes and perform preliminary assessments of the site conditions, identifying any potential issues and ensuring all pre-job preparations are completed effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance on the appropriate chemical doses, equipment setup, and procedural adjustments needed for specific site challenges.
  • Perform detailed walkdowns and mark up piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe execution of chemical cleaning tasks.

Certifications Preferred:

  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
  • Confined Space Entry and Rescue Certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Training
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) (advantageous)
  • Specialized Chemical or Industrial Cleaning Certifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience in chemical cleaning and handling hazardous materials
  • Proficiency in operating centrifugal pumps
  • Experience supervising teams (1-12 people)
