Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Client Accountant to join our growing firm. This position will be responsible for managing the accounting function for several small business clients, which includes ensuring each client keeps an accurate and organized set of financial records, manages A/P and/or A/R efficiently, and is able to obtain key financial insights from their accounting data.

Duties

  • Maintain organized QuickBooks Online files for multiple companies
  • Checking account and credit card transaction entry and categorization
  • Accounts payable management; vendor setup and document collection, bill pay, 1099's
  • Interpret/forecast client cash positions and timely communicate any needs
  • Expense documentation; invoice/receipt collection and storage
  • Sales tax, excise tax, and property tax filing/payments
  • Month-end reporting; account reconciliations, projections vs actuals, compiling financial reports, providing insights/analysis
  • Project lead on income tax return filing; prep financial statements, communicate with tax preparer to ensure returns are filed timely and accurately
  • Manage client relationships and communication

Requirements

  • Proficient to Advanced in QuickBooks Online (experience managing multiple company files preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of basic accounting principles (bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
  • Experience in or intimate knowledge of small business accounting processes; bookkeeping, accounts payable, financial reporting, budgeting, different business types and tax implications (LLC's, partnerships, corporations, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Google Drive file management, Gmail, cloud bill pay software, accounting task management software
