Leads in the conduct and utilization of nursing research, evidence-based practice and process improvement

Develops, pilots, evaluates, and incorporates innovative models of practice.

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary teams to integrate the nursing perspective into a comprehensive plan of care.

Collaborates with Clinical Educators on content and operational design of orientation, clinical competency, and other clinical education development.

Qualifications

Required- Master's Degree-Clinical focus program as a CNS

Required- 3 years Clinical area of expertise

Require within 90 days- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Required- Registered Nurse (RN) License

As Required by Unit- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association

Required- Post-Master's Degree Certified Nurse Specialist certificate, if MSN was not focused on the application of the CNS role

Travel Is Required

Up to 20%
