Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. This role is focused on programming, designing, and optimizing fabrication processes, ensuring precision in cutting and milling operations. You will be responsible for preparing machine-ready files, and optimizing tool paths for CNC equipment to enhance efficiency and minimize material waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize CAM software to create and modify detailed design files for CNC programming.
• Program CNC machines (e.g., Park Industries, Breton, or similar) to execute complex countertop designs with high precision.
• Work with sintered stones, quartz, granite, and other advanced materials, ensuring proper cutting parameters for each.
• Optimize tool paths and cutting strategies to improve efficiency, reduce material waste, and maximize machine performance.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure design feasibility and production accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and refine CNC programs to address fabrication challenges and enhance process efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, new materials, and software updates to continuously improve workflow.
• If you know AutoCad then that's a plus!

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software such as Alphacam, Fusion 360, or similar.
• Experience programming CNC machines in a fabrication or stone industry setting.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds & speeds, and material characteristics (e.g., sintered stone, quartz, granite).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in executing precise designs.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of programming files.
• A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with strong communication skills for collaboration across departments.
