Job Description
Our client, a growing organization with under 1,000 employees, including a mix of salaried and hourly staff, is seeking a Compensation Specialist to lead and refine their compensation strategies. This role is ideal for candidates who have experience in smaller organizations and are comfortable working in a hands-on, analytical capacity
Compensation Specialist Responsibilities:
Design, analyze, and implement total rewards programs to ensure competitive and equitable compensation
Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis for both hourly and salaried employees
Develop and maintain compensation structures, pay scales, and incentive plans
Ensure compliance with FLSA, EEOC, and wage laws while maintaining internal pay equity
Partner with HR and leadership to align compensation strategies with business objectives
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on compensation trends and best practices
Support international compensation efforts as needed (experience preferred but not required)
Compensation Specialist Requirements:
~5+ years of experience in compensation analysis with a focus on both salaried and hourly employees
~ Experience working in smaller organizations where compensation programs are evolving
~ Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and HRIS systems
~ In-depth knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, wage compliance, total rewards, salary benchmarking and compensation structures
~ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex compensation data
~ Experience with international compensation is a plus but not required
