Job Description

The Choice is employing an exciting seasonal opportunity with our client- a large, international trade association.

This position will provide support for their upcoming annual conference/expo. The registration assistant will review potential participants (businesses) to make sure they have the qualifications to be part of their expo.

We are seeking a professional with native Brazilian Portuguese fluency for this role as many attendees and business participants are from Brazil.

The ideal candidate will have/will be:

  • Bilingual in English/Brazilian Portuguese
  • Previous experience working in retail or events in Brazil would be a very large plus! · Any previous experience with registration, customer support, or international correspondence would also be very relevant.
  • Good with technology- previous experience using Salesforce or another similar database preferred
  • Highly customer service driven and professional
  • Organized and detail oriented

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and qualify non-U.S. companies for participation based on industry registration guidelines
  • Verify company info and respond to inquiries in Portuguese and English
  • Support inbox management, assist with follow-ups and workflow tracking to ensure no request goes unanswered
  • Collaborate closely with the international registration manager to ensure smooth follow-through; goal is to minimize registration issues on-site

The position will start part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week. However, likely starting in November as the event gets closer, the hours will increase up to 40 hours a week.

The work can be performed remotely however candidates must be based in the DMV area, are flexible with their hours and also must be fully available to travel to and attend the event in New York City from January 6th-January 13th. The position can start ASAP in August and will be at least through the event in January.
