Job Description

***Only qualified Contract Attorney candidates located near the Greater Minneapolis area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

Required Education:

• Juris Doctor

Required Licenses:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Minnesota

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of auto/liability insurance defense experience (personal injury experience would also be considered)

• Prior experience handling complex civil litigation matters

• Solid client relations skills

• Ability to learn and use multiple electronic file management system

Contract Attorney Responsibilities:

• Conduct necessary and appropriate discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations and similar proceedings

• Research the law applicable to cases or matters; draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs and opinions as required

• If requested, conduct settlement negotiations
