Copywriter

Falmouth, Maine

We are working with our client Blaze in seeking a Copywriter , to be based in their Falmouth, Maine location. The Copywriter is responsible for developing engaging and persuasive copy across multiple channels, including digital, print, social media, and broadcast. In this role you will collaborate closely with art directors, strategists, and account teams to bring brands to life through powerful messaging and storytelling.

Requirements of the Copywriter:

  • Minimum of 2 years copywriting experience (experience in advertising agency setting is a plus).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative and strategic writing samples.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and persuasive copy.
  • Experience writing for various media formats, including digital, social, print, and video.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to contribute to the creative development of campaigns.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable attitude.
  • Must be able to work in person in the Falmouth, ME office.

Responsibilities of the Copywriter:

  • Develop compelling and brand-aligned copy for a variety of platforms, including advertisements, websites, email campaigns, social media, and video scripts.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to brainstorm concepts and execute campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all content
  • Willingness to work on a variety of copywriting projects, from headlines to longform/technical copy
  • Conduct research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitors to inform content strategy.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Present and explain creative concepts to internal teams and clients.
  • Adapt copy for different clients, industries, and campaign objectives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging marketing and advertising trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
