Job Description

I am partnered with a fast-growing restaurant franchise with a dynamic portfolio of brands who are PE backed and looking to expand their legal team! I am seeking a skilled Corporate Counsel to their team and support multiple attorneys, mainly helping guide their franchise operations with integrity, compliance, and strategic insight.

Position Summary

The Corporate Counsel will play a key role in supporting the legal needs of our franchise business. This position will focus on franchise agreements, regulatory compliance, and general corporate legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in franchise law and experience working in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate franchise agreements, amendments, and related documents.
• Advise on franchise regulatory compliance, including federal and state registration and disclosure requirements.
• Support franchise development and operations teams with legal guidance.
• Monitor changes in franchise law and ensure company practices remain compliant.
• Collaborate with external counsel as needed.
• Provide legal support for other corporate matters including contracts, employment, and marketing.
• Provide counseling and assistance across other areas of Data Privacy, Labor and Employment laws, marketing, and general corporate law

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3-5 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on franchise law and compliance.
• Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
