As we scale, we’re seeking a Customer Onboarding Specialist to ensure our customers get off to a strong and successful start with Engine’s platform.

Role:

As a Customer Onboarding Specialist at Engine, you will support onboarding and training of new customers post-sale. You will support the onboarding process end-to-end—from kickoff through go-live—ensuring data integrations, training, and platform configuration align with the customer’s strategic goals. You will work closely with internal teams (Sales, Data Engineering, Product, Customer Success) to create a seamless, white-glove experience that sets the tone for long-term partnership.

Responsibilities:

Customer Onboarding & Enablement

  • Facilitate structured onboarding programs customized to the needs of CPG brands using omnichannel data.
  • Host kickoff calls, develop project timelines, and align onboarding objectives with client business goals.
  • Deliver live and recorded training sessions to ensure platform adoption and value realization.

Data & Platform Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal data teams to ingest and validate CPG data feeds (e.g., retailer portals, Amazon, Walmart, syndicated data).
  • Ensure platform setup reflects client product taxonomies, KPIs, dashboards, and access controls.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted resource during onboarding and early adoption.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to transition clients smoothly into ongoing account management.

Process Improvement, Content Management & Feedback Loop

  • Document onboarding workflows and contribute to process refinement and automation.
  • Create, maintain, and refine onboarding and training content.
  • Capture client feedback to inform product improvements and onboarding playbooks.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in a client-facing role, ideally in SaaS or data analytics for CPG or retail.
  • Intermediate level SQL skills is a MUST.
  • Experience working with retail or syndicated data (e.g., NielsenIQ, IRI, Amazon Retail Analytics, Walmart Scintilla).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • High comfort level working with data tools, dashboards, and technical implementation processes.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and solutions-oriented approach.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with retail analytics platforms, e-commerce metrics, or BI tools like Looker or Power BI.
  • Experience using Jira for data management.
  • Experience using CRM/project tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, or Monday.com.
  • Understanding of CPG industry operational business dynamics.
  • Proficiency in SQL will be an added advantage.
