Job Description

Overview:

Our client, a leading company in their industry, is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Director of Human Resources to report directly to the CEO. This strategic role will help unlock organizational capabilities in North America by defining and supporting HR systems, processes, programs, and policies. The Director will work closely with senior leaders across the business and provide operational HR leadership to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal & Compliance:

  • Update, maintain, and oversee HR policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Monitor HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to keep policies current.

Process, Policy & Technology:

  • Lead and manage the HR team, driving efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and assess total rewards plans.
  • Manage benefits provider relationships, including annual contract review and negotiation.
  • Oversee HR technology software selection and maintenance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

Talent & People:

  • Consult with the executive team to develop robust learning and development programs.
  • Establish and analyze HR KPI metrics to drive measurable results tied to the long-term vision.
  • Conduct analysis of employee total rewards packages, benchmarking against industry and market standards.
  • Support managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and compensation issues.

Recruitment & Talent Management:

  • Build and oversee a North America Talent Management function to meet current and future workforce needs.
  • Manage talent acquisition processes including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years HR experience with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience working with global teams and a deep understanding of HR practices.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High proficiency in HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Relevant certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Multilingual skills (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or German) are a plus, but not required.
