We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist I to join our team. This role is responsible for managing construction-related documents, including engineering drawings, construction plans, and vendor documentation, throughout the project lifecycle. The specialist will work closely with project teams within CMS Energy Engineering, ensuring seamless document control processes for both new equipment installations and updates to existing infrastructure.

  • Receive, process, and archive engineering documents from external Architectural and Engineering (AE) firms, ensuring proper system entry and review.
  • Organize and manage engineering drawings, ensuring integration into the Engineering Record Center and providing hard copies as needed.
  • Support internal drafting efforts while ensuring adherence to company CAD standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction document control and familiarity with document management systems such as ProjectWise, Unifier, or similar platforms (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of document control procedures, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to efficiently handle and manage engineering and construction-related documentation.
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
