Overview:

We're looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer - Controls Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems on new and existing in-house production equipment. Role supports the development of automation solutions for advanced power components in industrial, AI, hyperscaler, aerospace, defense, and automotive applications.

Will provide sponsorship for the qualified candidate with 5-7 years of working experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 5+ years in manufacturing automation support
• 2+ years with PLC/HMI programming, servo control, and schematic design
• Proficiency in 2D CAD and MS Office tools

Preferred Skills:

• Experience leading technical teams in custom automation machine/tooling design

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical & control systems including schematics and network communication
• Provide electrical designs aligned with industry standards for production systems
• Familiarity with Cognex vision systems for software & programming tasks
• Schedule regular backups of equipment software
• Balance immediate support needs with long-term projects
• Provide SME support to Manufacturing and Engineering teams
• Troubleshoot network communication issues and IP-based code scanners
• Debug electrical systems at component level on shop floor
• Develop documentation including BOMs, user manuals, diagrams, and drawings using CAD
