ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The Opportunity

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving the electrical systems for our client's specialized manufacturing equipment. This will involve working on cutting-edge closing tool technology, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You'll contribute to a team that values creativity and problem-solving, with opportunities to impact product development from conception to implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing electrical control systems for industrial machinery, specifically related to closing tools.
  • Developing and implementing PLC programming and HMI interfaces.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues in existing equipment and new designs.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
  • Collaborating with mechanical engineers and other cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
  • Participating in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to testing, installation, and ongoing support.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Researching and evaluating new electrical components, technologies, and methodologies to enhance product performance and efficiency.
  • Providing technical support and training to production and maintenance teams.
  • Conducting root cause analysis for electrical failures and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with a strong background in electrical engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial automation, control systems, and machinery design.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens).
  • Experience with HMI development.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 79).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience with CAD software for electrical design is a plus.
