Position Summary
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a vital role in cultivating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, helping navigate workplace challenges, drive engagement, and support meaningful transitions. This role blends strategic HR support with direct relationship building — ideal for someone who thrives on empathy, problem-solving, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
· Partner with managers and supervisors to address employee relations issues with fairness, consistency, and alignment to Adelante’s values.
· Investigate and resolve employee concerns and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
· Support coaching, corrective action, and performance management processes
· Facilitate employee feedback initiatives including exit interviews, stay interviews, and pulse surveys.
· Manage engagement and recognition programs that celebrate contributions and foster retention.
· Serve as a knowledgeable resource on benefits and total rewards, including open enrollment, qualifying events, ADA, FMLA, and leave of absence processes.
· Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
· Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance employee experience.
· Travel periodically to clinic sites across the Valley to support onsite engagement.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Studies, Business, or related field
· 2–5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, engagement, and benefits
· Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FSLA, etc.)
· Experience conducting investigations and resolving workplace concerns.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build trust across diverse teams.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (Paycom, ADP, UKG/Kronos, Workday, etc.)
· PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
· Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
