Job Description

Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Enterprise Application Trainer to join our team in Thomasville, GA or Milwaukee, WI . The Enterprise Application Trainer will provide enterprise application user training via original multimedia content, automated training applications, and group training sessions. Training topics may include applications and technologies used throughout the company (e.g. CRM, CPQ, ERP, CMS, eCommerce, productivity and collaboration tools, issue tracking software), business processes, policies, practices, and onboarding walkthroughs. Training content styles must vary between technical and creative based on differing technical aptitudes of trainee audiences. This position will work closely with IT subject matter experts to develop content as well as some internal business units and departments.

Job Location: Thomasville, GA (or Milwaukee, WI)

Essential functions:

  • Investigate, define, and document enterprise application functionality and related business processes.
  • Design, create, and maintain knowledge and training content (e.g. announcements, charts, diagrams, guides, manuals, memos, presentations, tables, videos, webinars).
  • Configure, test, implement, document, and maintain training applications or solutions.
  • Evaluate requirements for new functionality or updates to training applications or solutions.
  • Lead training sessions with new and existing enterprise application users, administrators, and stakeholders.

Basic Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in a technical communication, technical education, training, information technology, or related discipline.

Experience:

  • 3 years of technical communication or training experience in a business environment.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Technical writing, creative writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Training and teaching skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Deductive reasoning skills.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend varied business processes, policies, practices, and their respective purposes.
  • Ability to comprehend and synthesize source content into new effective knowledge and training content.
  • Ability to recognize improvement opportunities for business processes, policies, or practices.
  • Ability to train and teach enterprise application users with all levels of technical aptitude.

Physical Skill & Effort: Work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations. Work requires infrequent physical effort and little to no exposure to hazardous conditions.

Working Conditions and Hazards: Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions. May require occasional or regular exposure to production plant environments with welding and fabrication operations.
