Job Description

We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) Professional to support daily safety initiatives at a manufacturing facility in Newburyport, MA . This role focuses on promoting safe work practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations
• Lead and support incident investigations using root cause analysis; track and report safety data
• Maintain safety records and oversee corrective actions
• Conduct safety inspections, hazard analyses, and risk assessments
• Monitor adherence to safety programs by employees, contractors, and visitors
• Partner with Human Resources on workers’ compensation management
• Maintain required OSHA and regulatory reporting (e.g., 300/300A logs)
• Coordinate site safety committee activities and support safety culture initiatives

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
• Technical safety training and/or related education required
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Safety certification (e.g., CSP, CRSP) a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production environment with physical activity
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance as needed)
• Exposure to food allergens and varying environmental conditions
