About the Position
As the Executive Director, you’ll serve as the chief executive officer, overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations and strategy. From managing staff and volunteers to driving innovative initiatives, your leadership will advance our mission and ensure long-term sustainability. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will shape and execute a strategic vision that strengthens KCCoC's cultural and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
● Leadership & Staff Management: Recruit, supervise, and support staff, volunteers, and contractors while fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
● Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and accurate organizational records.
● Board Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, facilitating meetings and advancing strategic objectives.
● Financial Stewardship: Partner with the Treasurer and Finance Committee to manage budgets, oversee financial processes, and ensure fiscal health, including audits.
● Fundraising & Partnerships: Lead development efforts, including donor cultivation, major gift solicitation, and strategic partnership building.
● Program Development: Oversee and guide impactful programs in collaboration with Program Directors to serve our community.
● Marketing & Communications: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance visibility and engagement.
● Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partners to promote cultural understanding and involvement.
Qualifications
● A minimum of 5 years of executive leadership experience in nonprofit management.
● Proven success in budget management, fundraising, and partnership development.
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and effectively lead diverse teams.
● Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks, and donor management systems (preferred).
● A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred).
● Experience working with the Korean American community is highly desirable.
● Bilingual proficiency in Korean is a plus.
