The City of Wylie requires FireTEAM and valid physical agility. All testing must be completed by the close date of March, 28 2025. Physical agility is by invitation only.

Any applicants who do not currently possess Texas State or National EMT or Paramedic certifications at date of test will not be considered for hire. Additionally, candidates must have a Certification from the Texas Commission of Fire Protection for basic Firefighter. You must have the proper certifications by day of test date.

Salary Information: $72,042.88, annually plus FLSA, an additional $2,750 Paramedic certification pay

Eligibility Requirements
· Minimum age 18, high school diploma or equivalent
· Certified at a minimum as a Basic Structural Fire Protection Personnel by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection or eligible to obtain your certification
· Possess and maintain a valid State of Texas DSHS Paramedic or National Registry Paramedic Certification
· Possess and maintain a valid State of Texas DSHS EMT or National Registry Certification for EMT
· Must complete the Wylie PAT which measures agility, strength, balance, coordination and stamina.
· Must possess or acquire an unrestricted Texas Motor Vehicle Operator's License
· Must have passed all required certifications by the hire date.
