Job Description

MAU is hiring a Flexographic Press Operator for our client in Peabody, MA. As a Flexographic Press Operator, you will set up, operate, and maintain the flexographic printing press to produce high-quality labels and packaging products. Shift Information:

• Second Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1–3 years of related experience or training

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 1+ years of flexographic printing press experience preferred

General Requirements:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devices
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required

Essential Functions:

• Read job orders and load dies into press
• Install print cylinders on shaft and in press
• Fill ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inks
• Start press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock as needed
• Engage print cylinders and adjust printing impressions
• Cut sample approval strips and inspect for printing imperfections
• Make necessary adjustments to correct register, impression, or ink issues
• Clean plates, print cylinders, and dies as required
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly press maintenance
• Mix inks to maintain desired colors and viscosity
• Maintain clear and organized work areas according to housekeeping standards

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand; frequently required to walk
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without mechanical assistance
