Job Description

Food, Safety and Quality Manager

We’re working with a leading beverage manufacturing company in Ohio that’s seeking an FSQA Manager. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to oversee the systems that ensure food products are safe and meet quality standards. As a key member of the leadership team, you will ensure our products meet the highest quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our brand. This is an essential position for someone ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced production environment.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and food safety standards (e.g., SQF, HACCP, GMP).
  • Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of food products to ensure finished
  • product quality
  • Investigate and manage customer complaints related to quality
  • Document internal audits, manage third-party audits and other quality assurance
  • activities
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or relevant field
  • 5+ years in a Food Safety/Quality Assurance or HACCP supervisory role
  • HACCP certified and very strong HACCP and regulatory skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have or complete certification status as Certified Food Safety Manager
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing/food production environment.
  • Standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) required throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
