About the Role: A leading global branded food company is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Food Safety and Quality Associate Supervisor. This position involves supporting the management team in the implementation of food safety and quality procedures and processes within a manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for managing and training a team of 4-6 quality auditors while ensuring product quality and food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, and train employees to achieve established quality standards.
  • Manage product quality and ensure that food safety practices are adhered to.
  • Foster an engaged, team-oriented workforce to improve business outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and consult with management regarding food safety and quality in the manufacturing setting.
  • Oversee sanitation procedures and ensure the highest food safety standards are maintained.
  • This is a hands-on position, with approximately 60% of the time spent in the production area.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Business, Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, or 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or have the legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa, now or in the future.
  • Comfort with the preparation and consumption of a variety of food products, including pork, beef, chicken, turkey, and nuts.
  • Open to relocation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.

Training and Development:

  • Hands-on training that includes supervisory courses and certifications in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Total Quality Control (TQC), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).

Pay range and compensation package: The base salary for this role is between $57,900-$81,100 per year, based on relevant experience, job-related skills, and geographic location.
