REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Travis Fields at Bryan Midtown Park is a premier baseball and softball facility designed to drive economic impact in Bryan, Texas, and enrich the community it serves. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Travis Fields operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. This role requires leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to drive business success while fostering a positive workplace culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

•Operational Oversight - Coordinate the enhancement and implementation of facility operational processes, budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, staffing structures, and other administrative control processes to meet objectives and determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.

•Facility Maximization - Maximize facility calendar availability by selling tournaments and practice rentals to enhance revenue and drive the economic impact of Travis Fields.

•Event Management - Manage administration and operations for RCI-hosted tournaments and events at a quality that upholds the RCI core values.

•Reporting - Prepare and present reports concerning annual reports, programming activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and rulings, and other items affecting businesses or program services concerning requirements with RCI and the City of Bryan.

•Administrative Leadership - Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, events, and activities of organizations or businesses to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments, and increase productivity.

•Partnerships - Target sponsorship opportunities and track the servicing of current and prospective sponsors to ensure contractual obligations are being met.

•Marketing - Oversee and enhance the park’s strategic plan and marketing strategy regarding media outlets (social media, website, SEO) in coordination with the company’s overall direction and obligations to the City of Bryan.

•Staff Management - Management of on-site staff as necessary, including the establishment of departmental responsibilities and oversight of the internship program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s degree required.

•Previous experience in a similar role preferred, especially in sports facilities or recreation.

•Strong communication and customer service skills.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Basic knowledge of sports equipment and facility maintenance.

•This position will require working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the facility’s operational hours and event schedule.

•Possesses a valid Texas Driver’s License.

•Complete a background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•Must be able to stand and walk for multiple hours, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climb, and crawl as needed.

•Ability to work in varying weather conditions, indoor and outdoor environments.
