Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Hardware Engineer for a Contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ (onsite) and ideally strong hands-on FAA, DO-160, MIL-STD-461, DO-254, domain: Aerospace, Aviation, EMI Qualification, avionics product, Digital Circuit, Debugging and Electrical Engineering Degree.

Rate Range: $55-57/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

1. Can you describe your experience with Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on avionics products?

Use your knowledge of hardware engineering to help client deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our Business Aviation customers. Working alongside some of the world's most talented engineers, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of client’s advanced avionics products by performing and documenting Qualification and Verification tests. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals developing state-of-the-art products for new business aviation aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products

• Plan and execute Design Verification testing on Avionics products

• Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance

• Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance

• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment

• Lead obsolete-component replacement investigations

You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• 4+ years’ experience in Hardware/Product Engineering

• Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification

We Value:

• Experience with Product Safety principles for Airborne Electronic Hardware

• Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.)

• Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD)

• Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging

• Experience with serial data communication standards (ARINC 429, RS232, I2C)

• Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications

• Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes

• Clear and concise communications
