The Role Our client is seeking a Head of Proteomics to lead the strategy, development, and execution of their proteomics platform. This is a high-impact, leadership role where you will work closely with world-class computational biologists, engineers, and translational scientists to drive discoveries that will shape the next generation of therapeutics. Key Responsibilities: Define and execute the company’s proteomics strategy, integrating mass spectrometry, high-throughput screening, and computational methods to generate deep biological insights. Build and lead a best-in-class proteomics team, fostering a culture of scientific rigor and innovation. Collaborate cross-functionally with computational biologists, data scientists, and drug discovery teams to translate proteomics data into actionable therapeutic hypotheses. Identify and implement emerging technologies in the proteomics space to enhance discovery capabilities. Oversee external partnerships with CROs, academic collaborators, and technology providers. Drive publication and IP strategy in proteomics and related disciplines. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with 10+ years of industry or academic experience. Expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics (LC-MS/MS), quantitative proteomics, and computational analysis of proteomic datasets. Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing scientific teams. Strong knowledge of protein biochemistry, post-translational modifications, and biomarker discovery. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and translate complex data into meaningful biological insights. Experience with AI/ML-driven approaches to proteomics is a plus.
