Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in field service. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify problems accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
  • Conduct equipment repairs on refrigeration units, boilers, and other HVAC-related appliances as needed.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to assist in HVAC design and installation for new builds or renovations.
  • Utilize mechanical skills to perform welding tasks when necessary for equipment repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each job.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry or related fields such as appliance repair or property maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools including an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC design and construction plans.
  • Experience in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations is beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
