Job Description

Job Overview:

A lovely and active family is seeking a dedicated, professional, and proactive Housekeeper to join their team for the summer season in their Hamptons home. This is a long-term seasonal position, returning annually, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual that is passionate about creating and maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming home environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning & Maintenance:
  • Perform thorough hands-on cleaning of the home, ensuring all spaces are immaculate and well-maintained.
  • Laundry & Garment Care:
  • Handle laundry, including delicate fabrics, ironing, and wardrobe organization.
  • Vendor Coordination:
  • Communicate and manage vendors for household needs and services.
  • Errands:
  • Run errands for the family, including shopping and household needs.
  • Meal Assistance:
  • Cook daily breakfast and assist the Chef when needed.
  • Prepare meals when the Chef is unavailable.
  • Serving:
  • Assist with serving during meals and events.
  • Pet Care:
  • Provide light care for the family dog, such as feeding or walks, as needed.
  • Household Organization:
  • Maintain household supplies and inventory while ensuring everything is in order.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience working in a formal home environment.
  • Strong cleaning and organizational skills.
  • Skills & Traits:
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and flexible.
  • Trustworthy, respectful, and hardworking.
  • Child-friendly (though no childcare responsibilities are required).
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Must love what you do and bring enthusiasm to the role.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Schedule & Commitment:

  • Seasonal role from late April/early May through mid-September each year.
  • 5-6 days per week, with flexibility to work weekends upon advance notice.
