Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will be dependent on business needs and tailored to individual strengths and interests. However, you can expect to:

• Analyze and evaluate current health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Implement and maintain HSE programs and policies aimed at minimizing risks and occupational hazards.
• Manage safety and occupational health monitoring systems, ensuring accurate documentation of training, certifications, and inspections.
• Conduct periodic site safety inspections and compliance audits.
• Support the Senior HSE Manager with metrics and performance tracking.
• Assess training needs and coordinate HSE training to ensure team members understand their responsibilities.
• Prepare and maintain reports and records related to incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Lead or support industrial hygiene sampling and evaluations of workplace hazards (e.g., noise, particles, gases, ventilation).
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and recommend improvements to work practices or equipment.
• Collaborate with external organizations and auditors to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Partner with occupational health professionals to implement controls for hazardous exposures.
• Provide input into HSE strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance in a manufacturing or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, behavior-based safety, root cause analysis, and incident management.
• Experience in auditing, HSE training, and program development.
• Passion for safety, environmental excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and standard HSE software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with DOSH, ANSI, NEC, NFPA, and General Industry Safety Standards.
• Knowledge of ergonomics and workers’ compensation regulations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, KanBan, and Just-in-Time environments.
