Job Description

A well-established Midwest company is looking for an experienced HR Director to guide the department through a transformative growth phase. This role involves leading with precision and resilience, aligning newly acquired teams, and fostering a scalable culture that empowers success.

  • Base salary of $135,000-$150,000 (BOE)
  • Full suite of benefits
  • Office-based position (Kansas City)

Key Experience

  • Proven expertise leading through rapid headcount growth phases
  • Comfortability with leading a small team out of the gate (that will grow over time), mentoring, and building scalable processes
  • Oversight of multiple locations/facilities
  • Hands-on leadership position, reporting directly to the executive & leadership team

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage core HR functions: payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and talent acquisition, ensuring seamless execution across all sites.
  • Enhance Engagement & Retention: Develop strategies to boost employee engagement, retention, and performance in a multi-site, dynamic environment.
  • Mentor Teams : Lead and develop a small HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Ensure Multi-Site Alignment: Oversee HR operations across multiple facilities, with potential for further expansion.

  • Proven HR Leader: You’ve held a leadership-level HR role in a company with 100+ employees, ideally during a high-growth phase.
  • Strategic Yet Tactical : You can think big-picture while diving into operational details to get things done.
  • Multi-Site Experience: You’ve managed HR across multiple locations, ideally in different states, with a knack for aligning diverse teams.
  • Engagement Driver: You have a track record of building programs that boost employee morale, retention, and performance.
  • Dynamic Communicator: You’re a credible advisor to leadership, able to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Growth Mindset: You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and have scaled HR operations in rapidly growing companies.
