Summary of Position

The primary objective of this role is to support Destination Operations within the Import Logistics Department by proactively addressing challenges related to imported freight. This includes serving as a key liaison between our logistics partners, internal transportation teams, distribution center operations, inventory management, and merchandising partners. The role focuses on ensuring timely and complete delivery of freight to drive sales and operational efficiency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations Support: Manage and resolve logistics-related issues as they arise, ensuring seamless operations across the supply chain.
  • Timely and Accurate Deliverables: Execute action-oriented and insight-based reporting, key business summaries, and ad hoc requests to meet business needs.
  • Carrier Support: Provide guidance and counsel to logistics partners on Dollar Tree processes and related challenges.
  • New Vendor Onboarding: Facilitate onboarding processes, including report navigation and ensuring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Carrier Performance Management: Develop and manage carrier scorecards, identify performance gaps, and implement improvement plans or identify alternative providers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to roll out new initiatives and integrate them into current processes to enhance business outcomes.
  • Strategic Feedback: Provide insights to leadership on supply chain opportunities that align with merchandising strategies to drive sales growth.
  • PO/SKU Tracking: Utilize logistics data to offer comprehensive visibility into the status of purchase orders (POs) throughout their lifecycle within the network.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Access, SharePoint, & Power BI

· Proficiency in Windows-based programs

Experience:

· Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Merchandising, or equivalent relevant work experience (3 years).
