Job Title: Highly Skilled Mechanic - Brick Manufacturing Plant

Location: Wallace, SC

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Maintenance Lead/Production Manager

Pay Range: $30.90 - $34.51

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our brick manufacturing plant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical equipment to ensure optimal plant operations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic presses, extruders, and kilns.

· Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machinery and equipment.

· Dismantle and reassemble machinery for maintenance and repair.

· Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system to ensure minimal downtime.

· Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprint, and schematic diagrams.

· Maintain accurate records of repairs, [parts usage, and equipment performance.

· Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.

· Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to ensure seamless plant operations.

· Recommend improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent: technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical systems hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.

· Proficiency in welding, machining, and fabrication techniques.

· Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

· Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.

· Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights,

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in the brick or building material manufacturing industry.

· Certification in industrial maintenance or mechanical systems.

· Familiarity with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
