Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: 70-90k/year

Language: English and Japanese Bilingual

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong business acumen and analytical skills to join their expanding Strategy Consulting Team in the U.S.

The successful candidate will work closely with top management from various industries, supporting them in developing data-driven strategic recommendations—primarily related to cross-border transactions between Japan and North America.

Responsibilities and Job Description

The Strategy Unit manages a wide range of client engagements that are relevant to Strategy consulting projects, including:

• Market research, Market entry & business development, strategic planning related consulting
• Business Due Diligence, Joint venture, business partnership related support consulting
• Turnaround & Restructuring consulting, corporate governance consulting

Key Job description:

As an associate, you are expected to lead project execution, especially on the following job scope:

• Conduct market research, competitive analysis research, regulatory research in related industries according to client’s requirements, including primary and secondary research
• Write report as deliverables to client, mainly in Microsoft Power Point
• Present a strong and convincing business case story and strategy recommendation to client.
• Other tasks required for project execution and deliverables to client

Requirements

• Several years of relevant works experience in consulting, market research preferred.
• Excellent Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Residency in the US (3 years OPTs also considered)
• Business level Japanese language proficiency (N1 and above) is required
• Business mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to present solutions to complex problems in a logical and step-by-step manner in various industries
• Academic background in business-field (accounting & finance, marketing) is an advantage
• Professional mindset with strong ownership
• Strong attitude towards learning new things beyond his/her comfort zone
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel
