Job Description

At Freedom Recovery, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals facing Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and behavioral health challenges. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals in recovery, utilizing evidence-based techniques to enhance their quality of life and support them on their journey toward lasting recovery.

As an LPC at Freedom Recovery, you will provide direct clinical services to patients through individual, group, and family therapy. You’ll work collaboratively with our treatment team to create and implement individualized treatment plans designed to foster emotional well-being and long-term success for clients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based treatment modalities designed to promote recovery and long-term success.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team to meet client needs.
  • Complete clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments , including biopsychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and diagnostic formulations to provide a full picture of client needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk management services, offering safety planning and de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals to ensure integrated and effective care for each client.
  • Engage clients and families in treatment planning, providing psychoeducation on SUD and mental health disorders.
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies, accreditation standards, and legal/ethical guidelines, including HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
  • Stay informed and adhere to workplace violence prevention and drug-free workplace policies.
  • Participate in clinical supervision , staff meetings, and ongoing training to further develop professionally and stay current on best practices.
  • Assist with discharge planning , including referrals, aftercare services, and connecting clients to community resources.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development to enhance client care and treatment effectiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by clinical leadership to support patient care and facility operations.

  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) certification (Required) with a strong background in treating Substance Use Disorders and behavioral health challenges.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities with a client-centered, compassionate approach.
  • Experience in i ndividual, group, and family therapy with an ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective engagement with clients and the treatment team.
  • Crisis intervention and risk management skills, including de-escalation and safety planning.
  • A commitment to professional development and staying current with the latest practices in the field.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Compassion, empathy , and a non-judgmental approach to helping individuals in recovery.
