Job Description

Our client, an apparel company, isi looking for a logistics coordinator to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:

  • Global Logistics Management: Oversee and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments across key regions including the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States. Partner with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure shipments are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain full adherence to global trade laws, customs requirements, and import/export procedures. Prepare, review, and manage all shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Vendor & Carrier Relations: Negotiate service agreements and freight rates with logistics providers to optimize cost and performance. Build and sustain productive relationships with international vendors and transportation partners.
  • Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse teams to monitor inventory levels and maintain precise stock records. Ensure proper packaging, handling, and storage of premium or high-value goods in line with brand and quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with sales, merchandising, and retail departments to align logistics operations with business timelines and priorities. Communicate shipment updates proactively and resolve delivery challenges promptly.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance logistics workflows to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Champion best practices for sustainable and streamlined supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in global logistics coordination, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, or apparel industries.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in logistics management platforms, ERP systems, and shipment tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple global partners and time zones effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and ensure operational excellence in fast-paced environments.
