Position Overview
Emonics LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Learning Intern to join our AI and Data Science team in Houston. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates who want to gain hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques to practical projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and data scientists, contributing to the design, training, and evaluation of ML models.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in building, testing, and optimizing machine learning and deep learning models.
Support data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for various ML projects.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and patterns.
Experiment with different algorithms and feature engineering techniques.
Collaborate with senior engineers to deploy models into production environments.
Document experiments, results, and methodologies clearly and accurately.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Experience with data manipulation tools (Pandas, NumPy) and visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in AI/ML.
Understanding of version control systems like Git/GitHub.
