Company: Leading Peruvian manufacturer of copper and alloy wires, bars, strips, and profiles.

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the electrical and mechanical reliability of our high-performance manufacturing plant. This role is central to ensuring uninterrupted operations in a demanding, continuous-production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical and mechanical maintenance for machinery and facilities.
• Develop, implement, and improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Optimize equipment reliability and uptime through predictive maintenance techniques.
• Manage vendor and service-provider relationships.
• Extend the lifecycle of critical production assets and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics .
• 3–4 years of leadership experience as a Maintenance Manager in continuous manufacturing (mining, foundry, steel, or related heavy industry).
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Proven experience with industrial machinery, electrical systems, and safety protocols.

C andidates will be asked to demonstrate practical knowledge in:

• Procedures for preventive maintenance on copper smelting furnaces.
• Diagnosing excessive vibration issues in mills and crushers (tools, analysis methods).
• Critical factors in maintenance planning during plant commissioning.
• Use of predictive maintenance techniques (thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound).
• Hands-on work with VFDs, transformers, electric motors (low/medium voltage, three-phase).
• Maintenance and diagnostics of generators, machine tools, and safety systems.
• Defining and tracking key maintenance KPIs to evaluate departmental efficiency.
