Dealership Controller

Our Client:

A large, progressive family-owned multi-rooftop marine dealer in the Southeast who believes life is better on the water and whose mission statement includes delivering a family experience to every customer. They sell and service ten-plus major boat brands and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service, improving operational excellence, growing their footprint and creating a family atmosphere for employees and customer alike.

The Opportunity:

Seeking an experienced Controller, preferably with multi-rooftop experience. Marine, RV, Powersports, or Automotive dealership accounting operations experience is a strong plus. This role reports directly to the President and is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-first organization. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations
  • Participate in strategic financial decisions
  • Streamline and improve dealership operations
  • Create and interpret management reports
  • Prepare monthly 20 Group Composite material
  • Liaison with finance companies and banks
  • Audit and track accounting processes: A/P, A/R, PO, bank reconciliation & more
  • Collaborate with CPA for tax reporting
  • Establish and maintain a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a retail dealership environment
  • Preferred experience in Marine, RV, Powersports, or Auto dealership operations
  • 3+ years of experience managing daily accounting operations
  • 3+ years of experience with P&L management reporting
  • Familiarity with Lightspeed, CDK or similar dealer management systems is required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Self-sufficiency is a must
