Job Description

Anchor Quest has partnered with a leading national consulting firm to find a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their Energy Services Division. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a background in 3D Modeling who are passionate about designing and modeling commercial building HVAC, interior lighting, and building envelope systems. You will collaborate closely with experienced mentors, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers to develop 3D models and designs for energy studies and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Review client documentation and provide critical feedback to project teams for completing energy studies.
  • Analyze and convert drawings, specifications, field notes, and photographs into accurate 3D models of existing buildings.
  • Conduct building operational energy performance simulations using industry-standard and proprietary software.
  • Apply your understanding of complex building science to model interconnected systems, including HVAC, electrical, and building envelopes.
  • Participate actively in project discussions and meetings to align on content and deadlines.
  • Contribute to improving business practices and proprietary software by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while working on secure, high-profile facilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a professional engineering environment (preferred).
  • EIT license (a plus).
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
