Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated Member Service Representative to join a reputable credit union in Oregon. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering exceptional service to members while managing various financial transactions and inquiries. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building strong relationships and providing valuable solutions to members' financial needs.

Responsibilities

  • Handle existing member accounts, build strong relationships, and deliver exceptional member service.
  • Assist members by phone with account maintenance, disputes, general loan inquiries, and IRAs.
  • Employ strong communication skills to identify key needs and achieve effective resolutions.
  • Use consultative selling techniques to identify opportunities and offer recommendations on deposit accounts, loans, and services to enhance member relationships.
  • Keep current on Credit Union policies, procedures, and offerings to provide accurate and knowledgeable support.
  • Assist members with financial transactions through multiple channels within the Contact Center, including phone, follow-ups, faxes, and emails.
  • Handle complex requests, such as disputes, deceased member accounts, and digital banking troubleshooting.
  • Work with internal partners for advanced issues and complaint handling.
  • Effectively use available resource materials and engage additional assistance as necessary to arrive at a resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to call quality requirements, Credit Union policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's products, services, and data processing systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum one year of call center, customer service, or sales experience required; financial institution experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to provide excellent member service and effectively discuss/refer credit union products and services.
  • Take ownership of every member interaction, whether it requires a call back, extended research, or assistance.
  • Ability to multi-task and work seamlessly and efficiently across several different platforms simultaneously.
  • In-depth understanding of all credit union products and services.
  • Research and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to apply solid judgment, initiative, and tact in communications with members and coworkers.

Monday - Friday

Benefits

Competitive pay ranging from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
