Your ability to connect with decision-makers, present value-driven propositions, and close deals will directly contribute to the success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback to strategically position products and services.
  • Product Presentations: Conduct on-site and virtual product presentations to showcase the company’s offerings, emphasizing value, quality, and differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with customers to close sales deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while adhering to pricing guidelines and profitability goals.
  • Order & Delivery Management: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders, address any service-related concerns, and maintain positive relationships throughout the process.
  • Customer Feedback: Act as the voice of the customer within the company, providing feedback to improve products, services, and overall customer experience.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates for management to track performance, identify trends, and align strategies.
  • Training & Product Knowledge: Continuously develop product knowledge and stay up to date on industry changes to provide the best possible solutions to customers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the inside sales team, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of sales orders and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals within a competitive, B2B environment—experience in the metals industry is highly preferred.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on building relationships and understanding customer needs.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage customer expectations effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful in identifying and addressing customer challenges or product/service concerns, providing creative solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the metals industry, including products, market dynamics, and key players.
  • Self-Motivated & Independent: Capable of managing your time and priorities efficiently, working autonomously in the field while maintaining a high level of accountability.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools to track leads, customer interactions, and sales activities.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in outside sales, with a strong preference for experience in the metals or manufacturing industries.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel: This position requires frequent travel within the designated sales territory to meet with clients and prospects.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
