Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Manhattan, NY

Position Type: Full-time, 5 days/week onsite

Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, exceptional organizational skills, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner.
• Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime hours.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure they are up-to-date.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
• Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll-related matters.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accuracy of employee data.
• Assist in the implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on relevant payroll laws and regulations.
• Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
• Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC).
