PIPEFITTER/WELDER
Summary As a Pipefitter/Welder, you will work within the fabrication shop to prefabricate mechanical piping systems that are installed on commercial and industrial construction projects. Applicant must have MIG and FLUX Core Experience. TIG is a plus.
Job Duties
Fabricate piping systems for mechanical installations for use on commercial/industrial construction projects
Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work including locations, quantities, and material specs
Selects type and size of pipe, related materials, and equipment according to specifications
Cuts, threads, bends, and assembles the pipes
Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components together in various positions
Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding
Install hangers, supports, valves, and components according to piping system plans and specifications
Perform leak tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Able to work from ladders and man lifts at various heights
Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned
Requirements
OSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed)
Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to pass a full background screening, MVR, and drug screening
Additional Requirements
Trade school or higher
Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude
Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter
Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
Specific vision abilities required by this job include clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, depth perception, and color vision
Must be able to fulfill the essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner
Exposure to moving mechanical parts
Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed
Compensation
Wage Range Starting at: $23/hr. based on qualifications & experience
Schedule
Monday – Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm
Must be willing to work flexible schedule (Including Weekend projects)
