Job Description

Top 3 Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field & 6+ years of experience in mission systems, spacecraft systems, ground systems, or payload systems.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience with Nastran for static, modal, buckling, and frequency response analysis.

Plusses:

• Master of Science degree in a structures-related field preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple efforts and competing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience with FEM applications: Explicit, Transient, Nonlinear, Multibody Dynamics, Line of Sight, and Jitter.
• Experience with structural analysis for bolted and bonded joints, welds, electronics, antennas, fracture, and fatigue.
• Familiarity with materials like composites, ceramics, and high-temperature materials.

Day-to-Day Projects: In this role, you will perform structural analysis for a wide range of spacecraft and mission systems, ensuring that systems meet rigorous structural and environmental performance standards.

• Perform structural analysis on spacecraft, instruments, payloads, optics, mechanisms, and ground support equipment.
• Use closed-form and finite element analysis techniques in stress analysis and structural dynamics.
• Develop loads and environments for structures and components.
• Support structural and environmental testing (static, modal, acoustic, shock, vibration).
• Write detailed reports on test and analysis activities.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in office, laboratory, production floor, cleanroom, or remote research environments.
• Occasional work in production centers requiring protective equipment.
• May access facilities in varying weather conditions.
