Job Description

Hiltzik Strategies is a strategic communications and consulting firm specializing in message and narrative development, corporate communications, crisis management and litigation support, media relations, digital and social media strategy, research and analysis, and content creation. We serve as a trusted advisor and partner to leading business executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders across media, entertainment, technology, sports, finance, education, public affairs, philanthropy, and other impactful industries.

We are looking for a highly motivated Public Relations Account Coordinator in our New York office who will enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, track, and update the day-to-day client tasks within your respective teams
  • Develop and maintain media lists
  • Build a wide range of materials such as press releases, fact sheets, client correspondence, reports, and others as assigned
  • Monitor for print, online, broadcast and social media and the development of client media reports and ongoing client issues
  • Organize and maintain relevant team files
  • Assist the team in executing all relevant client work (interviews, press conferences, tours, etc.)
  • Support research on projects
  • Schedule meetings for team
  • Take notes on calls and share a first draft of action items stemming from client calls
  • Update account week-in-review

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of traditional and non-traditional PR strategies and tactics
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with managers, peers, clients, the media, partners, and more
  • Self-starter and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and driving projects across the finish line
  • Experience working in a client service role and/or in demanding and dynamic situations
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow up, and organization skills
  • Digital and social media savvy a plus
