Job Description

KLG Public Relations is hiring an Account Manager.

KLG PR is looking for a team leader with strong media contacts in the wine & spirits industry. The role requires strategic planning, leadership responsibilities, strong presentation skills, client management, proactive and reactive media relations, and budget management.

The ideal candidate should be strategic and entrepreneurial in nature with a minimum of seven years of PR experience; with at least three of those years in the wine & spirits industry .

Responsibilities:

Work with leadership to develop strategic plans for clients

Align with leadership to provide strategic counsel to clients

Lead and mentor junior staff to deliver anticipated media placements and results

Manage multiple clients while meeting various deadlines

Day-to-day contact for clients and responsible to lead account management to deliver exceptional service and impactful results

Successfully and regularly pitch stories, meet with and manage media to deliver high-quality results

Develop and maintain relationships with media and organizations on behalf of clients and agency

Lead creative brainstorming sessions and brand strategy

Follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts, and key findings

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree is required
  • 7+ years of PR experience including at least four years in wine & spirits. Working in Cannabis is a plus.
  • The candidate must be an ambitious self-starter and multitasker with strong media contacts
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of integrated communications; experience integrating PR with digital marketing, content and broader marketing activities
  • Experience/understanding in influencer marketing, understanding of affiliate marketing and social media best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record in client service, and strategy development and execution
